Mannix hair in later seasons

I LOVE this show!!! I started buying the DVDs in 2012 & got absolutely hooked. Great show! However, what's with Mannix hair in the last season? I bought the DVDs out of order so I'm actually in the middle of season one. I got season 8 the other day & thought I'd watch an episode. His hair is just too much! He looked so much better with the shorter hair.

If the hair surprised you, all I can say to that is "welcome to the '70s." 

Thankfully Mannix never went to The Shag haircut. I can't say the same but I was in my teens.

It was a 70's thing and Mannix would have been about 50 anyways. Its not like now where people try to stay young looking.
