I remember seeing episode 7 when it first aired and Mannix goes into a night club and Buffalo Springfeild is on stage. Does anyone remember what song they are playing? I thnk it was either 'Bluebird' or 'Rock n Roll Woman'. As far as I know, the first season was never in repeats. I'd love to see it again!

These clips have been making the trading rounds as there is a 2 DVD collection of bands that appeared on various '60s/early '70s comedy/dramatic programs. Buffalo Springfield were not the only recording artists to appear on Mannix: Neil Diamond also appeared in an early episode and, getting a bit more obscure here, the Peppermint Trolley Company popped up in a second (I think) season episode.

I just saw it for the first time yesterday. I went back and watched the band scenes again just now. How very groovy! :)
And I thought that was Neil Diamond a few episodes back, but I wasn't sure.
I got Season 1 from the library and have been watching them in order. I didn't remember seeing season 1 as a kid, and as we all know it has been eliminated from reruns for some reason. As a mainframe computer operator, I enjoy seeing the old hardware!
The Neil Diamond episode was great...Mannix is having a fight in a coffee house where Neil is performing, and he's managing to play and ignore the fighting until one of the fighters lands on stage at his feet. Neil merely says, "Hey Man, mind if I finish here?" and keeps on playing! Priceless!!
