Song in episode

In one episode, the victim was a young woman, a singer who was going to play a club but apprantly committed suicide (as i remember the plot) and i think it either had to be either before 1968 or after 1971, since i was in the Navy and didn't see the show much from '68 to '71.

Anyway, her big song, which she sings near the beginning of the episode, and Ironside and his people play a tape of several times during the episode, was called "Even When You Cry" (or at least had a chorus that went something like "...you're lucky if they hear you, even when you cry."

Does anyone know where i might find a copy of the lyric to that song?

From the day you're born, until the day you die
You're lucky if they hear you
Even when you cry, even when you cry...

The song was written for the show, and was used in the episodes "The Man Who Believed" (season one, episode eleven) with a female vocal, and in the episode "Something For Nothing" (season one, episode twenty-two), where it was sung by guest star James Farentino. I don't ever recall seeing a credit for it, but it may well have been written by Quincy Jones, since he was in charge of the music for the show.

I don't know where you'd find the lyrics, I'm afraid. Short of transcribing them yourself from the show.
