I just saw No Game for Amateurs from the 4th season and while it's a good ep. with a good performance by a young Martin Sheen and a socially relevant topic about hippie draft dodgers, I was a bit put off by how they played Eve. While all the action is going on, Eve has gone out to a dep't store sale to buy clothes. Someone had said that they dumbed down the Eve character and this ep. displays that. I like her in the eps on DVD. She's very tough and believable, but if the other eps. in years 3 and 4 have her being like she was in this ep. it is not hard to understand why Barbara Anderson decided to quit the show.
shareYeah, this ticks me off also. Shout Factory is usually pretty speedy in their releases. We got the first two seasons within six months of each other and now it has been almost a year since season two. Thank God NBC/Universal didn't hold on to the release of this show or we probably wouldn't even have what we do. It is shown weekdays on RTN if you are lucky enough to get that cable network, which I don't :(
