How they should have ended the series

David Vincent being locked in a rubber room screaming, "Don't you understand? The invaders are HERE! NOW!! They're going to KILL US ALL!!!"

Then one doctor turns to another and says, "Such a shame about David Vincent. He used to be a BRILLIANT architect until he got involved with LSD."

Turns out that NONE of it happened the way he thought it did. And he's left a trail of 50 or more dead HUMANS in his wake. The entire thing was a psychotic breakdown!

Biggest mind *beep* in the history of broadcasting!

How DID it end? Don't know why I got to thinking about this decades-old series. Must have seen something on TV or read something that jogged my mind. Anyway, I remember that every time he killed one, the remains disappeared so he had no proof to show people. Did he ever succeed in making people believe him and got the authorities to wipe them out? Were they wiped out?

How did it end?

Abruptly. The last episode is titled "Inquisition" which would lead you to think that they had a big hearing about it. Well it was a small hearing and nothing came of it. Still no evidence. It appears that they had intended to do a 3rd season and the rug was pulled out from under them. So there was no real wrap up or satisfactory ending. They just stopped making them.

However in the 2nd season he did manage to convince some people who were banding together to stop them. As opposed to the 1st season where it was just him and nobody ever saw a thing. We can only guess what a 3rd season would have brought.

Thank you so much! At the time it bothered me that I didn't know the ending. Of course, it's been many years and I forgot all about it, but something triggered my mind on it and it started bothering me all over again!

I had the pleasure of watching the entire 2 season series over about a month's time. It didn't really catch my eye back in the day so it was all new to me. Its a surprisingly good series despite some serious plot issues. Like the fact that the aliens had absolutely NO plan. And anything worse than a bruised shin resulted in their immediate disintegration. But the lead actor did an excellent job with it. And they had some great guest stars.

Vincent is trailing 2 men who he thinks are aliens. He follows them into a deserted building he sees them vanish in a sparkling light similar to when an alien dies but different ..he goes to the spot where they vanished theres no shadow left...then he feels strange all tingly then he is in a strange room looking at 3 multi coloured jersey wearing men standing near a console a few steps below..one of the two he was tracking is now wearing blue has taken off his hat. He has pointed ears..

'Welcome aboard the Enterprise Mr Vincent..' the other one he was tracking now in the yellow top says '..I'm Captain James T Kirk.. we've come to assist you in your fight.. against The Invaders..'
