Waiting for the DVD

Yeah sure, you can buy the bootleg on eBay at anytime, but when is the REAL DVD coming out... do we need more H/B comedies and seasons twos (Scooby-Doo and Flintstones), c'mon, get with the action! Jonny Quest whet the appetite, now offer us the main course...

I'll be there cash in hand when there's an 'official' H/B Herculoids set! (Ebay boots don't quite satisfy, do they?) I'm guessing that they'll get to it eventually. Certainly tastes differ, but yes, if we can expect to see ongoing season sets of Scooby Doo, and now things like Wacky Races and Penelope Pitstop etc., it would follow that H/B is in it for the long haul. Bring it on, I say.

Looking around and seeing all the old TV that's being released on DVD and is actually selling, it's pretty clear that there's an ass for every seat. If there's money to be made, why not drag out sets of (shows like) Speed Buggy and Captain Caveman? I wouldn't go for it but I'll bet plenty of folks would.

Some of the action shows didn't have long runs, so perhaps grouping some of them together would be a way of maintaining the boxset format, if that makes a significant marketing difference. You want the complete original Space Ghost? You gotta take it in a package split with Dino Boy. I can live with that! Birdman & Galaxy Trio? Frankenstein Junior & the Impossibles? Sure, you bet. Complete Banana Splits? Oh God yes. I'd buy the Hillbilly Bears with no shame. I'm a good consumer...

- - And the Herculoids on DVD - - ? No problem, yes please, I'm ready anytime!

I found this site http://www.atlantictradingdvd.com/ has just about all the 60's HB stuff including the 60's Herculoids, they also have a package deal that's a steal. I got the Herc set for around $15 shipped, quality about a 9/10, dubbed off the Boomerang rebroad's.

How long did it take your order to ship from Atlantictradingdvd? I ordered from them on 08/03/07 and it still hasn't shipped yet. Please advise. Thanks!

I just got the new DVD set in the mail today. The cover looks like it was done on an inkjet printer and the 2 disc set only contains the original 18 episodes? I assume from the 1960's run? The 80's run seems to be missing. Well, better than nothing I suppose. I really do love the Herculoids, and my 2 year old son is now in love with them too. We've been watching the bootleg DVD's for the past year. Hopefully the quality is better on these "officially released" DVDs.

With the promise of everything being released eventually, Space Stars seems like the most interesting one to wait for.

Will it be released as a whole or are they going to be breaking it up.

I suspect the latter is possible because with both Space Ghost and the Herculoids both make clear reference to "the complete original series" which makes me think it's highly possible, they may make the Space Stars package get broken up for release, especially now with the Warner Archive program they don't need to use packages to try and sell better.

Which raises the question, are the Dynomutt and Richie Rich shows that remain still going to be packaged with Scooby for future release?

the 2 disc set only contains the original 18 episodes?
You should note that each episode is actually 2 segments (episodes) so there are a total of 36 episodes on the discs.
