why wasint this junked?
pretty much everything else made by the beeb at the time was what stopped them from junking this? (thank god they didn't but still... odd)

I suppose because it was such a huge success. The broadcast even affected church schedules. The streets were empty during the broadcasts because everyone was watching it. It wasn't taped over because they knew there would be repeat showings.
