This show is so awesome!

My God! Thank those that released this on DVD! I watched it last night and I cried laughing! Several times! John Cleese is a genius!

Oh yeah it is! I love it too. It's extremely clever, creative, and hillarious. What a great cast too. My favorite is Marty Feldman. But yeah, all of them...it's the perfect combo. The sketches are all just classic. You've got "The Chartered Accountant Dance" hahaha, "Sleep Starvation", "Plain Clothes Policemen" , and more. Oh man...classic. The "Sydney Lotterby" one is funny too. They're just all very good. I love the "Spiv Doctor" one, Marty's trying to pawn off all this stuff to poor, hillarious Graham who is like "please look at my back". hahaha!!! I love Cleese in the "Mice Laugh Softly Charolotte" one when he goes all crazy. Classic stuff!!!!

Mice laugh softly? Which one was that?

"Mice laugh softly charlotte" is the one where all four of the boys are in it...and it's hilarious and random with John Cleese as the crook and Tim as the guy held captive and they do their "fake fighting"...Graham Chapman is one of the "good guys" too and comes in at random places. I think Eric Idle plays the guy who operates the elevator...and Bill Oddie is Cleese's little lacky and at one point he yells at him "i'll teach you to drive!" haha. Marty just comes in at random places...at one point he's a crook and they just tell him "you're not with our lot" so he leaves haha.

It's hard to describe...but you'd know it if you saw it. It's on the DVD.

Yeah, it's too bad Feldman didn't end up as a regular part of Python.

As a Python fan, by the way, I can't believe it took me so long to find out about "At Last the 1948 Show". Given the similarities, I would have expected the connection to be common knowledge with Python fans in the U.S.

I totally should get the DVD. This is one occasion where YouTube has inadvertently promoted the original works by way of other people putting up clips. IT IS GENIUS.

it says that there are 6 episode's exist
but on the dvd there only 5 episode's!

anyway... is still a great thing to buy! one of the best things ever made!

my favorite is the charted accountant sketch:

''i'm a charted accountant, i am also a charted accountant, i am a charted accountant to! i am a gorilla!''

freakin' hilarious!

Sadly, YouTube has pulled all of its clips of this show...so I'll be getting the DVD!

My favorite sketch is the one set in the department store; Graham Chapman is trying to buy just one shirt, but Tim Brooke-Taylor as the sales clerk is telling him this hard-luck story...John Cleese and Marty Feldman are also in it. It's a sketch that's both funny and touching.

Other favorites of mine are the "secret service" sketch with Cleese and Feldman, "The Four Sidney Lotterbies" (clever, innocent fun), and the quiz-show parody "Top of the Form" (flat-out hilarious). I can't wait to get the DVD and see all of these again!
