And one of my all time favorite funny scenes of any movie: Burton, sick of Liz Taylor's ragging on him, goes into the closet, gets down the rifle and slowly, expressionless, comes up behind Liz, aims it at her, all the while the music building up into something horrific about to happen. The look on Sandy Dennis's face, her scream followed by Liz turning with horror at the realization of a rifle pointing point blank at her face. Finally Burton squeezes the trigger and...well, watch it on YouTube:

No matter how many times I've seen this, I still crack up.

The funniest moments aren't really scenes, but some of George's one-liners, such as:

"Our son is the apple of our three eyes, Martha being a cyclops."

"Martha, in my mind you're up to your neck in cement. No, up to your nose, it's quieter."

etc.

Most of Martha's remarks are just cruel rather than funny, but she could be witty too:

"If you existed I'd divorce you."

These are my two favourite actors of all time and believe me, these lines are as bitter and amusing as the vicious lines they'd throw at eachother of screen hahaha!

Every time Miss Voodoo is asleep Shelly walks hard as *beep* and it wakes her up.

That line rings with me constantly. His delivery and the fact that this is a persistent problem with Martha.
