Origin of Mr. Bean??

I'm thinking someone needs glasses. I love them both but even at his best Atkinson cannot be the debonair gentleman that Cary Grant was without trying. Though Grant was a great comedian, gymnast and mime I can't see him quite coming to the extreme level of the telly Mr. Bean. (I don't care much for his movies.) Atkinson could have gotten his moves for Bean as much from any of Monty Python's group than from one scene of a Cary Grant movie. I respect your view, of course, but certainly cannot see it. Not even a bit.
