When I saw this in 1966 I loved it In 2014 I see the wife as annoying

I remember going to see this with my Mom when it first came out and I enjoyed it for the Great Dane and I guess amiable Dean Jones - But my husband I am just tried watching it this evening and I discovered I still liked it for the same reasons but the cons of Suzanne Pleshette's character and her whining made it unbearable to get through So I guess time has not been kind to this Disney film - I will try the Horse in the Gray Flannel suit next please please please let that one still be enjoyable

I know. LOL In some ways I understand her but, she still bugged me a lot too.

I felt the same way watching it again. She was so annoying with those dogs! Not considering her husband's feelings much at all. She was too much, but did redeem herself in the end. Those doggos were so damn cute, Brutus especially!!
