Let's hope the mansion is saved. It is a beautiful building and the grounds are gorgeous. I had the chance to tour both many years ago. Thanks for the info.

shareIt took place in the suburbs of Philadelphia. In the sequel, you see scenes shot in Philadelphia, and you also see a Pennsylvania Interstate 76 road sign.
shareNot sure where you live but if you are local, you definitely recognize signs and names of places. I was in the castle where some exterior shots took place. Contrary to what some say, there apparently were inside shots done in the castle (in Ambler) too. When I toured the inside, the employee conducting the tour mentioned that A) a movie had been filmed inside and out. B) the wallpaper had been painted blue and C) if you look close enough, you could still see some blue paint left behind when the wallpaper had been restored. Sure enough, you could see some blue paint.
It's a beautiful location and every once in a while, I still ride by it.
