What falls on the dude's face during the barfight?

There's a scene during the saloon fight where a guy is taking a peek up one of the dancers' dress. Then, without warning, a spray of liquid shoots onto his face followed by a big soggy white mass. Was this suppposed to be pee and her panties? I'm kinda sure, but feel like I missed something. And if so, what the Hell kind of random crap was that to put in a scene like that?

Its like a white powder, I wasn't sure what it was either. Another question. Near the beginning in the black and white sequence, Tetsu walks up past the train again and sees something on the ground. Its is something orange, it looks broken. What is it though?

Last Film... Tokyo Drifter - Suzuki - 8/10.

That was his gun that was mentioned by the thugs before they beat the crap outta him.

It looked like foam to me. In fact just afterwards it looked like a few balloons and streamers had started falling so I was half expecting a huge musical foam n' bubbles extravaganza!

But instead the set just fell down. Ha ha!

i thought it was a dancer's panties falling off of her and onto his face.

I'm with JettBlack, I thought it was the panties of one of the dancers whom were messing with the G.I.'s

reply

Nope. Just saw it last night. It was some kind of foam. My two sons identified "it" as the natural result of a roomful of G.I.'s watching a fan dancer.

lol I was wondering the same thing but I assumed it was pie falling from somebody upstairs' meal.

It looked like a large mass of whipped cream. I'm guessing it was bird poo.

I just watched this bizarre film and came here precisely to ask the same question. It looked like foam. Unexplainable to me.

The entire barfight here absolutely reminded me of the barfight in the town of Boracho in the first half of Blake Edwards's The Great Race, which came out the year before Tokyo Drifter. If The Great Race was the inspiration for this barfight, then the "white mass" is clearly a reference to the huge pie fight near the end of The Great Race. (It looks like I'm not the only one who made this connection: https://letterboxd.com/montypython22/film/tokyo-drifter/.)
