Kenji was by far the coolest character....

Tetsu was a very likable character, but Kenji was clearly a far more morally complicated and interesting character. He continually goes out of his way to help Tetsu, and wants him to learn that putting Akura's life ahead of his own is foolish. Really, the whole point of the movie is Tetsu gaining his independence and breaking all his ties, and Kenji is the only one who helps him down this path. You could tell that Kenji deeply cared for Tetsu, probably because Tetsu reminded him of his younger self. I think it would've been awesome if Suzuki had done a movie focusing on him, I think he could definitely hold his own movie. I would've loved to see more of the "Shooting star".
