DUBBED?

Whats with the dialogue on this film...it all seems to be dubbed. Did they lose the soundtrack during processing and have to get all the actors to rerecord ? Maybe it was an odd attempt (along with thd music) to emulate a spaghetti western feel.

I think that's what they tried to achieve, yes. The entire movie is actually a spaghetti western version of Panhandle (1949), also by Selander and Champion.

The film was shot in Spain and the cast (besides Murphy and Crawford) appeared to be all Spanish and probably spoke really bad or no English. Some casts had so many different languages going, it was easier to dub the entire film in post production.
