Any movies with similar "setting/feel"?

Kiju Yoshida's Heroic Purgatory. It isn't Sci-Fi (probably) and the plot isn't as chronological, but the industrial coldness combined with an ethereal feel is here.

Seconds (1966), which coincidentally came out the exact same year. Both films are fantastic.
