My essay on Teshigahara's 1960s films

http://cinescopeblog.wordpress.com/2013/12/28/teshigahara-abe-and-take mitsu-a-unique-collaboration-in-1960s-japanese-cinema/

This is a (rather lengthy and in-depth) essay I wrote about Teshigahara, and his 4 films made in collaboration with Kobo Abe and Toru Takemitsu, for my blog! I talk about their influences and analyse the themes of each film... Hopefully it might be of some interest to someone, help them understand these films in a new light, or even encourage someone yet to see one (or more) of them to finally watch! In any case thanks for checking it out :)

Hats off to you, friend. It was a great time and place for film.
Takemitsu is the greatest film composer ever. Better than even Georges Delerue.I especially love Pale Flower.
