Well THAT was certainly different


It was like a long and not particularly funny Laugh-In sketch, put together by someone strongly influenced by Godard, and scored by Varese. It wasn't bad exactly, but I'm not sure that I'd want to see more movies like this.

I didn't care for it either. It was full of inventive editing techniques but I found the protagonists very annoying.

Also at the end of the film, during footage of warfare it said something like 'this film is dedicated to people who are only upset about a trampled upon bed of lettuce". From that I gathered the point was that people shouldn't be upset about the condition of material things when there are injustices in the world like war. Good point, but the film wasn't about that. It was just tacked on.

I enjoyed it. I would definitely like to see more films like this one.
