I'm surprised there hasn't been a remake

You know remakes generally are horrible repeats. But I'm surprised since there seems to be a huge lack of imagination now a days in Hollywood that some "loser" hasn't made a remake of this movie. Maybe that's a good thing. I've never seen it but it looks good to me except like I said in another post that watching Rock kissing that woman in the trailer, it's so painful to watch him do it and kind of ruins it for me.
