Very funny..and underrated

The Sandwich Man has always been one of my favourite sixties movies, good innocent fun and a host of my favourite stars. I thought Terry Thomas was marvellous in this as a Scout master getting dragged into the antics of Yogi and Ram, two bungling Indian Jazz Music performers who are making their way across London overloaded with instruments. Poor Terry ends up getting charged with nearly every offence under the sun through no fault of his own.

When this was shown on UK television several years ago there were some cuts made. One was a girl riding pillion on the back of her boyfriend's motorcycle, who has her leather trousers ripped off on a fence spike as the bike speeds away. I never knew there was this scene until I saw the DVD a few years back.

The movie is well worth seeing again.
