Musical comedy

I liked this movie, although it was a little long. However, the funniest part--to me--was the idea of Carl Reinder (Whitaker, Walt) trying to explain musical comedy to a veteran Russian submariner. Probably nothing more alien to him.

I think it's totally hilarious when they're all responding to the rumored parachute landings at the airport. When they arrive, the only person around is the mechanic (Michael J. Pollard) who knows absolutely nothing about what's going on.
