4.8 Rating? IMDB Voters A Hard-Hearted Lot

Thought Queen Of Blood was an above average B sci-fi flick. The color in the print I viewed was very beautiful! The story may not be original, but well executed. The acting is excellent. Judi Meredith's persona is a bit on the mousy side, but she is very pretty. Florence Marley as the green vampire babe gave a very creepy performance. Her not speaking in a faux Romanian accent added to the tension. Great idea! The ironic ending was also exceptional.

I recently acquired the new DVD of this film, and was stunned by the dream-like, magnificently-colored special effects.
It's well-edited visuals mask it's low-budget; --and it's imaginative use of soviet film stock is simply brilliant.

Any acting (or story) deficiencies are more than compensated-for by the almost hypnotic atsmosphere of this rare sci-fi gem.

I rated this 10/10 strictly for the eye-popping visuals.

A vote of 10 makes sense in comparison to a 3 or 4! :-)

I do agree that it's seemingly above average, but I still gave it a 5 when I found out that most of the great sets and special effect sequences were taken from other movies. If this hadn't been the case, and if the first half had been a little bit more tight and to the point, it would have deserved a 7.

I agree, it deserves better than that. Marly is fantastically scary and seductive as the alien queen.

Nevermind the rating, that queen creeped me out!

I found it a bit slow and sleepy, and the 16mm print I saw was pretty washed out and not colorful at all. The story was a bit slow and the whole thing sorta tame, but overall for this type of movie I would give it a 7. Nice to see early Dennis Hopper, though he almost seems to be sleep walking in this one. He was better in Night Tide, directed by the same director.

Well, it's up to 5.3, and I just gave this 7/10 so that should help it ever so slightly. I think this was an imaginatively directed film with strong performances. It begins slowly and ends abruptly, but it shows Curtis Harrington as a promising director early in his career.

Since seeing it on t.v. as a child I've ALWAYS loved this film! Outstanding are the alien soundtrack, the outstanding alien world visuals and spacecraft but above all the haunting alien queen in all her shimmering green bodysuit beauty. Interestingly though TWO female aliens are seen together in their homeworld and 3 are clearly sent to earth (waiving before leaving) and only 2 are accounted for! There's still ONE out there...

I dislike the borrowing of content, but the context stands well on it's own. Way better than the period standards. It deserves it's due. If you haven't watched it, start to finish, your opinion is of little value.
