Just watched this crazy little gem, and while I was thoroughly entertained by the final 15 minutes or so, I was left with one burning question: what was the motive for the murder victims to conspire and lie about the von Sturm factory during the post-war investigation?

It was explained that squealers would get a portion of estates seized. the four men made off with a percentage of this mans fortune if he was labeled as a war conspirator. It still plays out today when a sleazy pharma rep pushing a bad drug is egged on by the company to drive profits (insert the name of every drug recalled)at the expense of patients health. Said sleazy pharma rep has a falling out with coworkers and decides to take any and all info to the govt and is declared a whistleblower. When the govt wins 15 mill $$ settlements the whistleblower gets up to 20%. Money makes people do all sorts of crazy stuff. Hope my ramble answered your question.
