Film uses same film as Circus of Horror

I first bought Circus of Horror (1960)and enjoyed it a lot. Later, I bought Circus of Fear (1966) and noticed that the same circus turns were used. Has anybody else noticed this? I thought for a minute, I'd doubled up on my DVDs! LOL

You are more observant than me. I've got both dvds as well. But I didn't notice that the same stock circus shots were used in both films till I came across a reference to them in a book about Christopher Lee by Jonathan Rigby.

:-D

I'm trying to think now and not sure if part of the same music was used as well? I'm going to have to watch it again now!! LOL LOL

In fact, many years after seeing Circus of Horrors, I always remembered the tune. It wasn't until some years ago I found it and who sang it, which was Garry Mills. I love that tune and it was so perfect for the film.

Here's an interesting snippet about the song and singer.

Thank you for the youtube connection to the Gary Mills tune. I've always liked that song in 'Circus of Horrors.' It seems so evocative of the period when the film was made.

I know, it's a lovely song and melody. I also have it with an orchestra playing it. It's by Billy Vaughn

I've just checked Billy Vaughn on imdb. I see that 'Look for a Star' was a single in 1960. I wonder if it has ever been available on a cd.

reply

I expect it is available .... I have the music here but forget where I got it from. Do you want a copy? Do you mean Billy Vaughn or the singer one, Garry Mills? I do have both.

reply

Thank you for your kind offer. I collect all music on cd. I've just found the Billy Vaughn version on a cd track listing so I've tried ordering it already. I'll try to track down the Gary Mill's version as well. I expect you download all of your music.

reply

Me? Moi? Download? lol lol Well, actually, I have loads and loads of CDs and have converted lots to MP3. This way I can mix and match and make my own compilations. Also, a lot of my music is trad jazz and on CDs. I won't say it here online (smiling here)but yes, I have a way of acquiring certain obsolete pieces of jazz music + :-D
