Every Scene Is So Beautiful

Mario Bava! Like the story, the music, everything!

The whole village and interiors was so claustrophobic. This movie was a great example of gothic atmosphere.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

It's also the best example of gothic color.

Most horror movies shot in color lack any real dark and creepy mood, and are flat when it comes to compelling atmosphere.

However, KILL BABY KILL is a great, rare example of color gothic. High contrast light and shadows as in your best B&W suspense thrillers.

Today's horror directors and cinematographers should take a long serious look at this film as the ideal visual example of how to make it as effective as possible - not that they ever would.

Love this movie and my parents house (a Tudor) had a creepy window in the living room that looked like the one in the movie. I would have nightmares about that little girls face if I woke up in the middle of the nigt after falling asleep in there.

Wow, too real!

I agree. I really loved the use of colors in this film. They really added to it's sense of suspense and the chilling atmosphere.

Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.

Almost any movie made by Bava had a good look, he was cinematographer before becoming a director. His "Planet of the Vampires" is a great use of color and "Black Sunday" is one of the best Black/White films ever in the horror genre. He was a master with the camera.
