Can you think of a better title???

First off, I love this film. Definitely one of Bava's most atmospheric chillers. That being said, every title for this film that I've heard of is pretty bad. From "Operation Fear" to "Kill, Baby...Kill" to "Curse of the Living Dead", none of them seem to really capture the essence of the movie.

My question is: If you saw this film without a title, and were asked to give it a title, what would it be?

reply

I agree. The titles do NO justice to the movie. I am terrible and titling but, I'll try.

'Child of Vengeance'? 'The Ghost (Girl) at The Window'? What would you call it?

Very good posting BartDudeInX.

The title doesn't match the movie. How about these replacement titles:

Child Cursed Village
Forgotten Daughter
Make them Pay
Festival Curse
Sorceress's Regret
Ghost Boy in Drag

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

Sorceress' Regret is great!

Child of Hate
Revenge of the Ghost-Child
Melissa on the Staircase

To me, KILL BABY KILL sounds more like your tough-ass biker babes on the prowl.
Tarantino, anyone?

I honestly can't come up with an appropriate title that doesn't sound like those'B titles' we've heard so much before.

I have some suggestions

The little girl's curse and the spiral staircase.
The town in the graps grasp!
Melissa and her sissa.
The happiest family...or at least the deadliest one with a curse!

Melissa and her sissa.

*tears*

Kind of generic but even just Melissa would sound scarier.

Wrath of Graps - very good!

The Graps of Wrath

I thought of "In the Grip of Graps" when I watched this today. That or Melissa's Curse would be great. Though I like the title "Kill, Baby Kill" it sounds like a '70s grindhouse exploitation film rather than an eerie, atmospheric ghost story.

Death lives in the Vault of Horror!
