Doesn't anyone have anything to say about this movie?

It was pretty silly, but I thought it had a few laughs. I especially enjoyed the Italian spoof scene.

I'm the kind of guy, when I move - watch my smoke. But I'm gonna need some good clothes though.

I was surprised too, to find a virtually empty board. It was cute. Silly. Virni Lisi wasis gorgeous.

I liked the non-stop rivalry between Curtis and Scott. And Virna Lisi is always nice to look at.

Even today over 40 yrs later she still looks fine.
I liked it, never got to see it back in 66 saw it for the first time tonight after DVRing it from TCM the other day.
The disco scene was the only thing besides the outfits that dated it. Would have liked to see more of Carrol O Conner but it was Curtis and Scott. And Virna film.
This makes 2 films for Virna with wife in the title the other being:
"How to Murder Your Wife" with Tony's twice partner Jack Lemmon

Yes, Virna Lisi was stunning in "How to Murder Your Wife." I've seen that one, as well as "Not With my Wife, You Don't!" several times now, thanks to TCM.

Only bothered to watch it for the beautiful Virna Lisi. Otherwise it's movies like this that make me glad for the often maligned "political correctness" of today. Misogyny, homophobia and xenophobic stereotypes abound, apart from completely unfunny and with despicable characters. But then that's only my opinion, feel free to disagree as much as you want.

tdoa, I am not and never was much in tune with modern day political correctness and, knowing me, many of my personal views would doubtless clash with your own. Nevertheless, the movie's situations and subject matter as you described them are the some of the same things that made it harder for me to watch.

Okay folks, show's over, nothing to see here!

It was a pretty poor movie, but...wow, take the stick out.

I loves me all of the goofy, mid-1960's comedies (that often weren't terribly funny).

My only problem with the film is the implausibility of air force fighter jocks being so fixated on one broad. I don't care how good looking VL is, if guy A gets her and guy B doesn't, then guy B goes off and finds another dame. Chances are her beav_r will be just as wet.

No, you miss the point. It's not about Julie. The competition between Tom and Tank is about Tom and Tank. They keep trying to one-up each other, trying to 'win', trying to end up with the girl but the girl herself is incidental. First it's Sally Ann, then it's Julie, and all the other women we never see that came before.

There are many things I find particularly annoying about the movie:

- Both Sally Ann and Julie come across as real dunces. They act as if they're mesmerized by these men. Physically and otherwise the men are very different. It makes no sense they'd be attracted to both equally. The obvious meaning is the women are so eager for a man, any one will do.

- Julie is also depicted as super shallow and very needy of attention. When she doesn't get it she behaves like a spoiled child. She throws tantrums in public and is ready to cheat on her husband, throwing away their relationship because someone pays her a few compliments. One shouldn't have to watch their spouse like a hawk to make sure they are being faithful.

- The men are in the military so I'm not at all amused at the way they waste resources sending each other off on wild goose chases; stealing planes; and being reckless. For the sake of their antics, they never hesitate to put themselves ahead of duty and country. Still, somehow they are promoted and rewarded.

I liked the USAF Thunderbirds footage featuring the F-100 Super Sabre jets.
