MST3K

OK, who else here agrees with Mike, Tom and Crow at the end of the episode when they're all groaning about how painfully bad the film is. Oh yes, even I was there with them. There were no redeeming features to this film, it started, walked nowhere for 90 minutes and then ended. All the *beep* weed in the world (and I do smoke a lot of weed whilst watching MST3K) would not make this film even the slightest bit watchable. It makes The Wild World of Batwoman and Manos seem like Citizen Kane. Really, I think Francis should be shot for his crimes against films for this travesty. But the episode is a very big favourite of mine, containing many of the funniest host segments such as Mike being deluded into actually believing he's Carol Channing (probably my favorite host segment ever) and the extremely drawn out and overly exaggerated "death" of Dr Forrester.

Yes, the movie is incredibly painful to watch and it has nothing good. Manos, at least, had Torgo. And yet, it became the basis of one of the best MST3K episodes. Gotta love those guys.

The death of Dr. Forrester contains a quick nod to Laurel & Hardy's short film 'County Hospital.' Frank brings Dr. F 'hard-boiled eggs and nuts,' the same things Stan brought to Ollie in the hospital.
