How does he know Jesse's name?

When Max first encounters the villains, no names are mentioned. I just watched this scene 3 times to be sure. Yet when he is talking to the indian prostitute
he tells her he's looking for a man named Jesse. How does he know his name?

That is a good question. It must be a goof. Perhaps there is a deleted scene where he learns his name.
