MATT HELM LOUNGE DVD BOX SET REVIEW

I have just bought and seen the MATT HELM LOUNGE DVD BOX SET for $28.99 that contains all 4 Matt Helm films starring Dean Martin: THE SILENCERS, MURDERERS ROW, THE AMBUSHERS & THE WRECKING CREW. I'm pleased to say all four films on this DVD box set are complete and uncut and in their original anamorphic widescreen ratios with Dolby Digital Mono Sound. There are Matt Helm theatrical trailers on these DVD discs but only for MURDERERS ROW & THE AMBUSHERS and unfortunately not for THE SILENCERS & THE WRECKING CREW! All four films arte on 4 separate DVDs for each film and 2 discs each in a corresponding DVD case. For the price and these films themselves, I fully recommend this DVD Box Set to all Matt Helm, Dean Martin & Spy Movie fans.

Hey pally, do you have a fav Dinoflick among the four? My fav is "Murder's Row" 'cause I think it is the most like Dino playing Dino---relaxed, hip, and way cool!

I like Murderers Row the best as well. It has Dean being Dean, A very hot Ann Margret(Looking better here than any film she ever made), a good performance by Karl Malden and also the guy who played the henchman is memorable. There are alot of great one liners by Dean and the soundtrack is wonderful.

After that I would go with The Wrecking Crew(great movie), The Ambishers & then The Silencers. All are good films, but the first two I listed are perfect films to me.

I love all 4 of these films but I think "The Ambushers" is my least favorite. I have this DVd set and it is in widescreen and it is excellent.

Lucky you if you have this on widescreen. I heard many, many people so disappointed : all 4 movies in THEIR 'Matt Helm' lounge DVD box are in full-screen.

reply

That's strange. I thought it was only released in the 1.85:1 widescreen version.
