What's the deal with Frank Sinatra?

Is there an inside joke I'm missing when they have Frank looking down on Ann Margret dancing and to have Dean blow up Frank? Was it just a Rat Pack reference or something more?

That's how I always saw it. I remember someone saying it was.

"I am the ultimate badass, you do not wanna `*beep*` wit me!"- Hudson in Aliens.

If you've ever seen clips of their nightclub act, it's par for the course. They bust the hell out of eadh other, like good friends do, especially when they have the world by the tail, which they did back then.

Bob Hope did that with Bing Crosby in many films.

They were all part of "The Rat Pack", Frank, Dean, Sammy, and Wiki has the rest of them: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_Pack

In The Silencers "Come Fly With Me" by Sinatra came on the car radio. Helm called it disgusting and changed the station, with "Everybody Loves Somebody" by Dean Martin then being on the radio.
In The Ambushers it was "Strangers In the Night" by Sinatra that Helm called a Perry Como song

reply

Matt Helm doesn't call it disgusting, he says that "he's terrible".
