What a fantastic movie

this movie is unbelievavly funny and so poignant. Why aren't there any more posts?

Because not enough younger people are familiar with it,most likely.

I hope that it is not remade (Cannon Films had announced a remake in an ad in the Hollywood Reporter in the late '80s, but fortunately that never happened).

I think postings have to do with movies being on television. When I see something new to me (or something I haven't seen since the 60s, 70s, etc) on tv, I will go to IMDb and find that there are all sorts of recent postings. For instance, I noticed that there are some recent postings for this film - has it been on tv?

I would love to see it again - it touched my heart when it was released. Of course in those days I was more inclined to be attracted to adorable, eccentric men (i.e. nutcases) and I'm not sure it would hold up for me post-my youth.

But it sure made me smile in 1966.

Loved it in the 60s- my dad took me, so have fond memories. But when I bought the DVD recently I found it almost unwatchable. What was zany and crazy in 1966 just looks sad today.

Saw it for the first time recently & absolutely loved it. Th lack of posts doesn't suprise me a bit because the film seems pretty hard to come by in the US anyaway.

Don't make me laugh, your kung fu is so so.

TCM is good about airing it. In fact, it's on tonight~right now~following "Georgy Girl". Of course, that year had Vanessa Redgrave vs. Lynn Redgrave (and others) at Oscartime.

I agree, it is very funny...but of it's time. Though it has aged well. Due to the quality of those involved.
