Pat Delaney

She was the artist struggling to draw a tree who was "helped" by one of the Martians.

Wow. She was one beautiful young lady. My wife and I both (watched the movie earlier thanks to TIVO) commented that she looked like Dorothy Malone's lost love child. Not just the face and hair but the body language, the way she tilted her head when listening to another character, her smile, and her voice.

I shocked that she never became a star. Looking her up on IMDB I saw that she made some other low budget movies and did some TV.

To paraphrase Brando in ON THE WATERFRONT, she could'a been a contender.

The movie business is very capricious. A mystery, really, as to who becomes a star.

Strange microcosm of the jungle.
