Is 'Manos: The Hands of Fate' The Worst Movie of All Time?

Well I make no claims about "all time" but it's certainly the worst movie I've ever seen--and the only movie SO bad that even Joel and the Bots couldn't make entertaining. I tried walking around saying, "and Manos: The Hands of Fate" like the Bots afterwards and my girlfriend, who was a big MST3k fan, had a temper tantrum that I even mentioned it.

2 Headed Shark Attack claims that title for me.

"Some men are coming to kill us. We're gonna kill them first."

Although Manos is probably the most famous bad movie of all time, other movies are actually far worse:

Monster a Go-go - I think this gets my vote for the worst movie I've ever seen, or at best ranks #2. This movie is confusing, has very poor audio, and most of the characters in the first half of the movie disappear in the second half. This was due to the first half of the movie being shot, the project ran out of money & shelved, then someone else came along a few years later and decided to finish it. It's obvious they didn't know how to end the movie, so they wrote a plot device which ended up being the worst ending of any movie in history.

Birdemic - As bad as Manos is, it can't beat the extremely horrible acting, lack of continuity & sloppy camera work of Birdemic. And while Manos has some sense of a plot, Birdemic has none. It's just 45 minutes of a guy and his girlfriend, then all of a sudden they're on the run from kamikaze birds. And the ending sucks almost as much as Monster a Go-Go. However, Birdemic is far more entertaining because of how horribly bad it is.

Red Zone Cuba (Night Train to Mundo Fine) - The most pointless film ever made. Coleman Francis starred in this hilariously bad and continuity problem-laden film which if not for MST3K would be totally unwatchable. This movie is like someone took all the film on the cutting room floor of a decent movie and decided to make a movie out of it.

The Beast of Yucca Flats - Another Coleman Francis abomination, this one has the unique feature that you never, ever see anyone speaking in this movie. That was done because the movie was filmed without sound, and Francis didn't want to have to match up dialogue with the actor's mouth movements.

The Blade Master (Cave Dwellers) - Another Z-grade ultra low budget film with extremely horrible acting, if you could call it acting. Not to mention the horrible continuity and the fact that even though it was set far in the past, back in medieval times, the main character invented a suspiciously modern-looking hang glider in about 10 minutes. Another great MST3K episode.

The Starfighters - Another MST3K-watchable only movie, this is a movie about Air Force pilots in which nothing happens. Watch only if you like watching Air Force stock footage from the 1960's.

I could probably think up quite a few others which are just as bad if not worse than Manos, but these are much worse. At least Manos is entertainingly bad. The rest of these, not so much.

Red Zone Cuba gets my vote...even with the great John Carradine

For me, yes so far, though Anna's Eve comes pretty close despite the overall 4.4 or so rating

Winter is coming

Yes, I can't think of anything worse. Even Beast of Yucca Flats was better than this.
