Worst than Manos...

In the horror board we found a movie much worse than Manos, and its from my country Argentina: Sadomaster. The difference is that Manos is fun to watch

"Weasels Rip My Flesh" is just as bad, maybe even worse.

Mr. B Natural "beats" this one on all counts, though it is mercifully only 20 minutes or so long.

What about "Blood Circus"?

The associated commercial for that movie might be the worst commercial of all time, too. Here's a page with more information about it: http://www.infomercial-hell.com/santo-gold/

Shut up Garchator! Frozen Flesh is far worst than anything you can imagine...

Revenge of the Dead is pretty bad.

The Phantom Raiders which one can buy or use to from Wal-MArt....HORRIBLE...Manos was better.....

reply

Battlefield Earth considering it had $44,000,000 budget and there is actually very little to laugh at, and the camera is just nauseating.

reply

Second that. Plus the running time of two hours that feel like 4 hours. Unlike manos where you can chuckle at the absurd horrendousness battlefield earth offers nothing salvageable, more of an endurance test than a film experience.

Gummo.

At least Manos has a plot, and a sort of unintentionaly amusing quaintness to it. Plus you gotta love Torgo! Gummo is a pretentious experiment at art-house "anti-film" that fills much of its time with (improvised) John Waters-ish shock value. This film was like a root canal without anasthesia.

Gummo was fairly amusing to watch, I think hobgoblins has to be the worst horror movie I have ever seen.

Repo! The Genetic Opera gets my vote. Whilst plodding through it, I turned and asked my husband if it was worse than Manos. This will always be the control to judge the variables against. Can't wait to watch the above suggestions. I just hope I can find the MST3K versions. Otherwise, no way.

I consider myself somewhat of a bad movie expert and the worst movie I have ever seen in my life is "Ax Em."

I-mockery did an excellent review of the movie including pictures and clips which I linked below. If you think Manos is as bad as movie get I suggest you visit the link.

I know from horrid experience that movies can get worse than Manos. Here's a partial list:

Horrors of Spider Island
The Crawling Eye
The Crawling Hand
Robot Monster
Fire Maidens from Outer Space
and the worst entity in history that is still barely classified as a movie:
MONSTER-A-GO-GO.

If you were offended in any way by the preceding post, go make one yourself.

i gotta say ix ne on Fire Maidens, its at least fun to watch. I don't think that Manos is so much the worst film ever made - it is simply not a real movie at all, so it cannot be counted. Nothing about it really counts as an actual movie. There is something astonishingly surreal about it, and i always feel like I've wandered into some strange land - for a long, LONG time! Whenever I watch it. Manos is completely unique, and perhaps can't be classified at all.

Catwoman is worse

I thought I knew about bad movies after I saw "Manos."

But "Monster-A-Go-Go" was even worse. It made me realize that I had to re-evaluate my whole conception of bad movies.

And then I saw "Red Zone Cuba," also known as "Night Train to Mundo Fine."

And then I saw "Being Human," with Robin Williams.

I'm with ComfortablySad on this one. I spent the summer becoming acquainted with the world of terribly bad films which started after I read the incredibly entertaining and hilarious book "Showgirls, Teen Werewolves and Astro Zombies". I then sought out to watch the films that were considered the worst ever from the book and while Black Devil Doll was atrocious and incredibly offensive (a close second in my opinion), Ax'em (aka "The Weekend It Lived") is the absolute worst piece of film making that can be witnessed.

While some of the films (I've noticed) that have been mentioned in this discussion have been deemed awful because they are too violent or gross to watch, and thus worse than Manos, a truly awful film is not just one that grosses or shocks. It is devoid of any film making skill whatsoever. That being the case, I agree with ConfortablySad in that Ax'em is the worst film ever made (that I've seen, and I've seen a lot). It's the only film that drove me to drink afterwards out of sheer depression for what I just saw.

Dracula: The Dirty Old Man is just as worse (read: great!) as Manos. These 2 have the same feel. Like they've been buried in the desert for years and like they were filmed in a different dimension.
