One of the all tyme classic endings

I mean he was blowing some killer charts. In fact, Sammy was blowing his arse off. His chops were in good shape out there on the stage. Cicely was feeling it, Satchmo was feeling it. Hell, I was feeling it. The Booger/Buffalo Butt from Good Times was feeling it, Les. They appeared to be ready to go all the way to the promised land with him. And he appeared to be ready to take them. He was in the Jazz vernacular, "cutting it up".

Then all of a sudden it all came crashing down.

Ja'Net Dubois "Wilona" from Good Times looked up there with that thick eye liner and saw it coming, saw him unravel right there on the stage. He went for that high "C" note a couple of times. He was really trying to make that horn screetch up there but it was..........not to be.
I could damm near believe it not when he went out. I had to rewind it 20 times. Sammy played that chyt hard.
