Made In USA's allusions

Everyone goes on about how dense with allusions this film is, so let's unpack it a little by listing some and how Godard uses them.

I'll start with the obvious one.

Godard riffs on the convoluted, borderline incomprehensibility of The Big Sleep. Instead of double crossing and double bluffs you get lengthy digressions on politics in 1960's France.
