Totally worth for the dresses....

Anna Karina's epoch-defining look is worth the price of admission on this film. Her endless wardrobe of brightly colored shift dresses is amazing. And let's hear it for the eyeshadow!

But seriously folks. This is a very challenging film, but it's best to think of it this way: The characters in the movie act like they are in a movie. That way, the affected acting and seemingly-random sequences play out as a sort of inventory and criticism of crime-fiction conventions.

Tarantino fans will surely see the influence on Kill Bill. The story stops and starts, non-sequitors are introduced, there is a wealth of inside jokes, etc. They even copied Anna Karina's haircut for Uma Thurman.

Totally worth viewing only to see Anna Karina's beauty at it's zenith.
