Question for fans of KTGAMTD

I just saw this film for the first time a few days ago at the American Cinemateque in Los Angeles. Very enjoyable stuff -- a lot of Bond references, as well as elements that were later used in Bond films.

I saw that Terry-Thomas played the part of the explorer at the beginning as well as the chauffer, but the voice over at the beginning sounded like a different actor. To me it sounded like Michael Hordern, though I do not find a reference to this anywhere on IMDb. Whose voice do you think it was?

It always sounded like Terry Thomas to me. Sorry. That doesn't mean your wrong though.

I attended the Mods and Rockers Film Festival presentation of KTGAMTD last July 16th as well. I can’t help you with the narration either. I thought it was Terry Thomas using a deeper voice.

If any readers of this board are wondering, they didn’t show the European version that has been previously discussed. In fact, the Mods print did not even have the full body shot of Wilma Soong after she was frozen in the cryogenic tube! However, the print was the cleanest I’ve seen. My personal copy shows other women frozen in the cryo tubes, but when I saw the Mods print, I realized that the 2nd and 3rd women shown frozen were actually seen earlier in the film. Earlier in the movie Silvia (#2) taunted Ardonian by pretending her new lover was her brother, and Gioia (#3) was given a necklace by Ardonian and told to be “faithful”. Gioia’s facial mole, which was visible at the beginning of movie, was also visible after she was frozen in the cryo tube. I always suspected the third frozen woman was Gioia, and I’m happy that the Mods print supports my suspicion!

Good ear, Miles. I've been a fan of this film for many years, and I've always been convinced that it is indeed Michael Hordern. There's no mistaking that distinctive growl of his on the line, "Where the HELL are we?!" At any rate, I think it's safe to say that it's NOT Terry-Thomas.

Anybody heard anything about this being available on DVD anytime soon, ?
maybe even as a package set with some other mod super agent films.
