Funniest Lines in the Movie

Haven't seen the movie in more years than I care to admit to. Let me see if I remember this correctly.

Early in the movie, when Susan Fleming (Dorothy Provine) is about to leave the party, a gentleman who has already left sees James (Terry-Thomas) getting her car ready and asks him, "How long does it take to train a servant like you?"

James replies, "Not long, sir. Just two or three generations."
Such 200% English understatement! There were so many other moments, but that one has stuck in my (sometimes failing) memory for decades.

"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things,"
Of atoms, stars and nebulæ, of entropy and genes.

reply

"Oh, no, sir - there's never anything wrong with a Rolls-Royce ... it just won't start."

reply

"This dance has absolutely no effect whatsoever on these men. Do anything for you, James?"

"Not while I'm on duty, Sir"

reply

[Kelly (Mike Connors)] "This isn't Irish Whiskey, James. It's Scotch."
[James] "Well! I shall certainly speak to the mechanic about that!"
