Famous film director QUENTIN TARANTINO is ONE OF US!

As the freaks CHANTED in Tod Brownings horror film, "Freaks": "ONE OF US...ONE OF US...ONE OF US...!!!lol! Yep, aparantly the great film director QUENTIN TARANTINO-famous for his KILL BILL films, among others, is a huge (and I mean fanaticaly huge) fan of KISS THE GIRLS AND MAKE THEM DIE. So much so, in fact, that he has even sponsered public showings of this film at his popular film festivals. Tarantino (WHO IS NOW OFFICIALY MY HERO! HE'S ALSO A DARK SHADOWS FAN WHICH MAKES ME EVEN MORE LOYAL TO HIM!) discribes KTGAMTD as being nothing less then "THE BEST" of the James Bond rip-off movies OF THE 1960's. He really loves this movie! WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF TARANTINO DIRECTED A REMAKE OF KTGAMTD (which WOULD include all of WILMA SOONG'S missing NUDE SCENES with the little blond creepy guy!). You can read all about it by going to the following website:

"James Bond ripoff"; what's funny is that this film was ripped off to make the Bond film "Moonraker" - almost shot for shot in some sequences.

Yes, but,if I remember correctly, KTGAMTD also borowed a lot from the Ian Flemming novilization MOONRAKER as well as from a number of spy films in circulation at the time. However, I think you are definately correct, there are scenes taken directly from KTGAMTD that show up in MOONRAKER! I'm suprised the producer's of KTGAMTD didn't seek compensation through litigation. But I believe the film KTGAMTD is in the public domain now. So a lawsuit probably isn't going to happen. Anyway, thankyou for raising this very importand point. I know most of us here are so obsessed with Seyna Seyn and the Wilma Soong character that we sometimes overlook this fact about the film; but it is (in addition to Miss Soong) a very interesting point to discuss. I think I once came accross a website dedicated to this topic. Do you know about this site or possibly have a URL for that?

Gooble Gobble, Gooble Gobble, One of Us, One of Us!

But how could Quentin Tarentino NOT love KTGAMTD? Let's face it, the film is a tawdry bomb (in the very best respect, and I say that with love). It's dripping with the kind of 60s spy kitsch that film makers and pop culture hounds like Tarentino thrive on. And if he went out of his way to say he DIDN'T like the film I would be very surprised, indeed.

Remake? Blecccchhhh!!! Forget THAT; how about pouring that same cash (or a pittance from it) into getting the ORIGINAL out on DVD *****FIRST*****, thank you very much??? I mean, reeeeeeeeally...

"But WHEN, oh WHEN is KTGAMTD ever going to see the light of day on DVD???" he asked, hoping that Tarentino (or his people) are perhaps reading this and making frantic phone calls to the distributors demanding answers...

. . . . . . . . . .

Evangelical Christians are the new Nazis. Believe it.

Well, Ok-gobble gobble!LOL! I guess I was putting the proverbial horse before the cart! Maybe Mr. Tarantino can contribute to that venture or even provide an interview or scene by scene analysis to be included in a KTGAMTD dvd's 'special features' section. Hearing Tarantino's insites into this film would indeed be an incredible oportunity and make the dvd sell like hotcakes IMHO! And I also hope he's reading this! The fan base for the origional version of this film needs to be inceased before talking 'remake' would even begin to make sense!-I agree! Tarantino is certainly doing his part to promote this film already. Maybe he will do more in the future. I hope so. Anyway, if he could just get the thing on dvd that would be great! Good point!
