'I wouldn't want to be accused of taking part in a rumble.'

Sally has the best lines.

"FRA-GEE-LAY. That must be Italian!"
"I think that says 'fragile', honey."

Is it legal?

When they tell her about Tricks or Treats, lol.

One amusing point is that Sally says "Welcome to the 20th century" regarding women's equality, but in the original comic strip, she says something like, "Welcome to 196x" (whatever year that strip came out).

But my favorite "random grown-up" line is in the Christmas special when Lucy talks about the holiday being run by a "big eastern syndicate."

Sally has the best line in the x-mas special too...

"All I want is what I have coming to me. All I want is my fair share."

LOL! I also love: "If it seems too complicated, just send money. How about tens and twenties?"

Yea! Tens and Twenties! And in 1965, you could buy a lot more with that than today! That's one greedy little girl lol

"Oh, I'd never laugh at you, Linus. You're so intelligent."

reply

One of my favorite exchanges from the Christmas one is when Lucy says to Linus, "I'll give you *five* good reasons!" - her fingers and thumb, which she then uses to form a fist, which she shoves in Linus's face, prompting his comment, "Christmas is not only getting too commercial, it's getting too dangerous!"

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

reply

I also love Sally's rant at Linus when the Great Pumpkin is a no-show...ending with "YOU OWE ME RESTITUTION!!!"

reply

I love the entire signed document exchange between Charlie Brown and Lucy, espeically Lucy's last line:

"Peculiar thing about this document, it was never notarized!"

"OMG Kevin Nash WTF thought he was dead LOL."

One of my favorite parts as well. loved how they did not talk down to kids in these specials.

Schultz (with a T) knew a lot more about how the world works than most people, who just run around blindly, without realizing what they're doing. He even understood the importance of notarization - those people have as much power as a JUDGE!

A tough question; do affidavits have to be notarized for them to have power/value/credibility?
