I've a lot of stuff like this and I think its just the fault of the team that films the animation cells that are sometimes misaligned. The thing that always catches my eye is when Linus tries to push the pumpkin through the fence unsuccessfully and backs off, and we don't see him pushing it towards the far corner through the slot. If you have watched this for 50 years like I have you notice things.
shareAlso watch the clump of leaves that Linus kicks when he's walking with Lucy to the pumpkin patch. It's completely different from the other leaves, and when he kicks it, we find out why. It's actually animated, not just a flat background.
