Excellent film, a 9/10

I knew Her Well is an underrated gem that deserves more recognition. The lovely and enchanting Stefania Sandrelli stars as a young woman who wants to become a star in Rome. Will she find fame and love? Or will she be destroyed by a predatory culture? Sandrelli gives a compelling performance of a character that is complex and well developed. The film is beautifully shot and features a great screenplay. Recommended to all fans of 60's Italian cinema.
