See my comment about the dining room/strip scene.
Have you noticed how the guy in the monster mask acts like he's got whiplash of the neck? Does't move his head at all and keeps it stiff upright like he's balancing a plate or something on his head. They were probably afraid that if he moved to much the rubber mask would fall off.
