The title makes no sense
This is set immediately after a current (at the time it was made) nuclear war. I was expecting a brief scene at the end showing how things ended up in 2889, but we did not even get that much. What gives?

shareLol this is the weirdest movie I have ever seen. The acting was terrible it wasn't even worthy of being called a B movie more like an F movie. I was expecting it to reveal that they were on a planet or something weird. It was hillariously corny XD
shareYeah, this could be the most inept movie I've ever seen. From what I understand, it was supposed to be set in the future, but everything looks like it took place around 1965 or so.
sharefrom what i've read, the title is from a jules verne novel, but you're right, it makes no sense, in keeping with the rest of the movie. easily the worst movie i've ever seen. it was a bunch of people who seemed to know nothing whatsoever about filmmaking, or at least didn't care. my favorite was the scene where they're sitting in the living room talking about how they're the last people alive on earth after the nuclear holocaust, and outside the window, CARS ARE DRIVING BY!

The production company already had the title registered, so they just tacked it on, they didn't care if it made any sense.
shareI was also wondering why everything looked incredibly outdated in a film that supposibly took place eight hundred years in the future, but now I understand. Thanks to everyone for the explanation behind the title.
Last Seen in Theatres:
Toy Story 3: 5/5
Inception: 5/5
Despicable Me: 3/5
Had wondered myself; I just ran across it, while flipping through the channels and 5 minutes am wondering why it isn't more futuristic. That explains it though.
