Thor

I've seen the film 'thor' before.

i just watched 'how to steal a million' tonight.

i've seen a lot of old films. i'm a fan. this seemed like a bit of a cheap attempt at a rip off of 'charade'

which was much more romantic

maybe it's just cary grant, but i liked hitchcock's 'to catch a thief' as well...

but those two films, as well as 'thor', and 'the seven year itch', and all the many film noir films and also many others...

they may come across as as little bit sexist. & i got no problem with that. men and women fall in so called 'love' together all the time

but this film was actually misogynistic in my opinion. the scene where he makes her scrub the floor?
there were more instances, but i'll have to watch it again to defend my opinion with more examples. but there were plenty. i'm just not remembering right now

because after i watched this, i watched 'thor'. after seeing 'thor' again i thought 'that was much more romantic than the last show i watched. i wonder what william wyler had against women'

reply

He wasn't making her scrub the floor. He was having her practice the ruse she would act out to play her part in the robbery, to be sure she would look convincing.
