As of 2016:
Netflix Instant zooms HtSaM to 1.78:1, filling my TV screen.
Amazon Prime Instant and Vudu ($3) have the original aspect ratio, 2.35:1
I prefer the correct aspect ratio, with the black bars.

I agree that original AR is much better than having a streaming provider opt for filling out the entire screen. Changing the AR definitely changes the look and feel of any well-composed film -- it completely changes both director's & cinematographer's intended 'viewpoint' and
composition of the film. Tsk-tsk! Hate when they
do this to films!!!
Seems to be the correct AR on Amazon.com. And is available to stream for Prime members.
