The Title Song?

I haven't seen this film in years and I'm trying to remember the lyrics to the title song. Can anyone fill me in? Thanks!! This movie needs to be released on DVD in North America!!!

"A lonely girl is like a Gypsy Girl,
Who always has to roam..."

You can find a .wav file of Hayley singing it here:

And yes, it needs a professional release - with Hayley commentary soundtrack, preferably, seeing as it was a Mills family project.

Thanks so much!!!

The sight is gone! Anyone got the rest of the words?

Areas of Geocities "go down" (are unavailable) frequently - try again in a couple of days. If it's not there in a week's time, THEN we panic

It's not "down", it's GONE. It no longer exists >_<

Don't panic Mr Mainwaring!

From what I can see the entire content of that area of Geocities (http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/Stage/) "cannot be found". Either Geocities has deleted the content of thousands of websites, OR it's gone down as a self-protective measure because it's the Christmas season and too many people are accessing Geocities.

Give it a week. If it's not back then, you have my permission to panic!

reply

Well, it does look that way - sorry!

If you have RealPlayer, the song "Gypsy Girl" also forms part of this broadcast from the Incorrect Music audio archive (http://www.incorrectmusic.com/audio/archive/), from 25 October 2000:

Move the arrow to 32.34 to get to the beginning of GG, then enjoy!

I remember watching this on TV back in the '60s and I definitely remember Hayley singing the title tune in either the opening or closing credits. I just watched the recent broadcast on TCM US and the song is missing! Argg! Just the same background music as during the rest of the film is under both the credits. Anyone know why this is? Is the tune still in the British version? Anyway, thanks so much for posting this archive link, as it is my only way to hear this haunting melody I remember so much from my childhood.
