Rooster Girl?

I don't understand Helena Davison's response to the jackass at Kay's party who accuses her of being out of touch with reality as the daughter of a steel tycoon. Helena merely responds "rooster girl" and walks off laughing. What's up with that? That joke completely went over my head. Could someone enlighten me?

Amanjones, my cable out so watching some of my old favorites and popped tape of Group in. Cannot believe nobody replied to this post. OK, here's what happened, I'm pretty sure. At the party that Kay and Harald were having, some jackass started in on Helena because of her wealth. Libby, in an attempt to "rescue" Helena, came up and started extolling Helena's talents..."if she had entered show business, she can dance, sing, etc...." Helena said "don't forget bird calls!" At that point, she gave a very loud, obnoxious bird call to his face. Then said "roosterbird!" then left. Her breeding and manners would not really allow her to say what she WANTED to say to this jerk, so she did the next best thing. Even today, a young lady of her social position, manners, etc. would have to kind of show restraint, but Helena got back at him.

Most obnoxious scene in a very obnoxious movie.

I'm sure the older couples who left after the loud squawking were thinking, "I didn't know I was at a children's party." Way to go Helena. Didn't exactly help her friend make a good impression.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
